Bringing people together, face-to-face, to improve ourselves
and the world around us. In 1727 Franklin formed the Junto, a weekly mutual-improvement club made up of individuals with an array of interests and skills. Founding father, master inventor: Benjamin Franklin was also a pioneer of self-improvement. Now, almost 300 years later, the Ben Franklin Circles are revisiting and redefining these virtues – as tools to enrich our own lives and our communities.
Good People Dinners in San Francisco
Good People is a community built around meaningful conversations and delicious feasts, a moveable social club for those who value authenticity, a better way to connect with each other.
We’re a community of mostly 20- and 30-somethings who’ve each experienced significant loss, and get together over dinner parties to talk about it and the ways in which it continues to affect our lives.
Two conversation hosts from different viewpoints each invite one or two others to join together for structured conversation on a specific topic. (We have a lot of structured topic guides to choose from, or you can create your own). The Conversation Agreements and structure help assure a good experience and allow participants to get to know each other. Living Room Conversations can happen anywhere: our homes, coffee shops, conference spaces, churches, and even online via video chat.
You must have a single conversation. You talk to the whole table and the whole table listens. The whole time. That’s 8 to 14 brains on one topic. It’s powerful and unique.
